Asian Excursion

Trip Members: Mark, Brian, Christopher, and Kyle Countries Visited: Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and Japan Trip Duration: June 5th-July 1st Itinerary: 2 days in Bangkok, (fly to Cambodia), 3 days in Phnom Penh, 2 days in Siam Riep and Angkor Wat, (Fly to Northern Thailand) 5 days in and Northern Thailand, 1 day in Laos, 1 day in Myanmar, (Fly to Kyoto, Japan), 3 days in Kyoto, 2 days in Hiroshima, 3 days in Mt. Fuji, 2 days in Tokyo Activities:(Southeast Asia) Long-tailed boat up Mekong River, Muay thai boxing, Thai massage, Bangkok Weekend Market, Orphange visit, Pol-Pot Killing Fields, Exploring Angkor Wat, Bus breaking down in Cambodia--playing cards with locals and visiting house, 5 day tour of Nothern Thailand, Caving, Elephant riding, bamboo rafting, white-water rafting, Renting motorcycles in Laos, Snake Show, Elephant Dung Musuem, Golden Triangle (Laos, Thailand, Myanmar), Street Soccer, Chatting with monks, Morning Runs, Taste Testing street vendors (crickets!) Activities:(Japan) visiting shrines and temples, morning and night runs, Going to The Geisha district of Kyoto,Touring Hemiji Castle with Brian and Kyle's Japanese teacher, Spending a day with a Japanese family, Visiting the Peace Park Museum and A-Bomb Dome in Hiroshima, Hiking Miyajima Island, Swimming in the Pacific and in the lake under Mt. Fuji, Hiking Mt. Fuji, Onsen bathing, Yokahama Baystars Baseball Game, Visiting Tokyo's districts-Harijuku, Shinjuku, Shibuya(busiest intersection of the world), fish market and sushi eating

i'm feeling very connected too, although that may have something to do with the fact that i'm sitting next to you guys in the A/U "computer lab" as i type this. keep up the adventuring!

Thanks for sharing your incredible adventures. 22 years old and all this under your belt. So much to be grateful for - family, strength, introspection, generosity, love, protection, intelligence, and an understanding through Christian Science of where it all comes from, our Father-Mother God.
